RENTAL CONDITIONS AND NOTICE
1. Booking - how and where?
Via the internet at www.chaletchristoph.ch. The rental contract between you and the host is concluded with the unconditional acceptance of your booking. You will then receive the rental contract, which also serves as an invoice. The duplicate contract must be signed and returned within 10 days (immediately in the case of short-term bookings).
2. Prices
In Swiss francs, according to the rental contract.
3. Booking fee
No booking fee is charged for the reservation of holiday accommodation.
4. Payments
20% due on the day of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
5. Booking procedure
Holiday accommodation is normally let for a full week, Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions on request. Arrival and departure times are specified in the contract.
6. Number of persons
The maximum number of persons who may occupy the holiday accommodation is stated on the contract. Subsequent bookings must be notified at least 2 weeks before the start of the holiday. In the event of over-occupancy and/or after unsuccessful reminders, the rental contract may be terminated. The price of the flat remains due in full.
7. Pets
Pets are allowed in our holiday flats.
8 Liability of the tenant and complaints
As a tenant you are obliged to treat the holiday flat and the inventory with care. You accept the house rules. If any defects are discovered when you take possession of the flat, you must report them immediately. Otherwise, it will be assumed that the flat was received in perfect condition. Defects that are not rectified on the spot to your satisfaction must be reported within 48 hours. Claims for reduction and damages must be submitted in writing within 7 days of leaving the flat. If you do not submit claims for reduction or damages in writing within 7 days of leaving the flat, your rights will be forfeited and you will lose any claims.
As a tenant, you are liable for any damage caused by you and your guests. Any damage must be reported as soon as possible, but at the latest when you leave the flat. Defects discovered after the return of the flat can also be claimed against you as the tenant, provided that they can be proven to you.
9 Liability of the host
The compilation of the flat offer has been carefully prepared. Nevertheless, errors may occur which lead to complaints. Non-contractual liability is governed by the applicable laws. Liability for damages other than personal injury is limited to the single rental/travel price per participant, unless these general terms and conditions of contract provide for further liability limitations or exclusions. Any liability for spoilt holidays, frustration damages and the like is excluded.
10. Events outside the host's sphere of influence
The host is not liable for events that lie outside the sphere of influence of the host, such as interrupted access roads, closed roads, increased noise emissions, power cuts, environmental disasters, political unrest, strikes, opening hours of tourist facilities, etc. In the event of such occurrences, you are entitled to claim compensation from the host. In the event of such occurrences, you as the tenant have no right to terminate the contract, reduce the rental price or claim damages.
11. Service and price changes
The host reserves the right to change descriptions and prices. Changes in prices and services shall be communicated at the time of booking. Changes in prices and services after conclusion of the contract may occur in exceptional cases. These will be communicated immediately.
12 Cancellations and changes
80% of the deposit is refundable if cancellation is made 60 days or less prior to arrival.
50% of deposits paid are refundable if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival or earlier.
20% of deposits paid are refundable if cancelled 10 days prior to arrival or earlier.
0% refundable if cancelled later.
13. Cancellation, breakdown and repatriation insurance
We recommend that you take out insurance to protect you from financial loss in the event of cancellation, breakdown or medical repatriation due to a serious event such as illness, death or accident.
14 Swiss law is exclusively applicable to the contracts with the host. The place of jurisdiction is Küssnacht am Rigi, Switzerland.
